Issue #23485 Added profile and script for changing the version id - previous commits are prerequisity of this one - the profile collects all modules to one reactor, except appserver/tests - appserver/tests are the reason for the script, which does the change as a text processor, so it ignores all broken dependencies. - alternative ways to change the version id are still possible, but this is easier. Just run ./updateVersion.sh 7.0.0-MY-SNAPSHOT etc. - both script and the profile can be deleted after we fix all modules in the repository
Eclipse GlassFish is a Jakarta EE compatible implementation sponsored by the Eclipse Foundation. Eclipse GlassFish 5.1 is also Java EE 8 Compatible.
Prerequisites:
Currently in the master branch artifacts are being pulled from OSSRH staging.
Run the full build:
mvn -Pstaging install
Locate the Zip distributions:
Locate staged distributions:
Running Eclipse GlassFish QuickLook tests:
mvn -f appserver/tests/quicklook/pom.xml test -Dglassfish.home=appserver/distributions/glassfish/target/stage/glassfish6/glassfish

Build Eclipse GlassFish using the gfbuild.sh script, OR build as stated above and copy the distributions to the bundles folder using:
./gfbuild.sh archive_bundles
This will result in:
bundles glassfish.zip nucleus-new.zip web.zip
Run tests using:
./gftest [name of test]
Where [name of test] is one or more off:
